Boys Just Wanna Have Fun

[Otacon was looking forward to having Raiden over for a pizza and turtle watching evening. He had asked the young soldier a few days before about coming over to the Nomad, just to chill out. That's what Raiden needed more than anything. Just time to chill with his friends and why the hell not?

Otacon laid out the TMNT videos on the sofa and pulled out the pizza ordering leaflet. He was going to wait until Raiden arrived first, so that he could choose the pizza he wanted. Otacon hoped that either Sunny or Snake would turn up to enjoy the movies and pizza too. The more the merrier.]

I hope Pepsi is ok for you, Raiden...[Otacon muttered to himself, as he pulled out some cans of soda from the fridge. He knew Raiden didn't drink alcohol much now, which was fine, as neither did Otacon much. He preferred a green tea or something near healthy. He placed the cans of drink near the sofa and sat down. Now, all he had to do was wait.]

Yeah, I do. [He took a sip of soda, then let out a loud burp. He clapped a hand over his mouth and blushed. Damn, why was he such a nerd at times?]

I didn't even know there was such a thing. I'm good with my hands. I mean, I can repair things, electronic things and uh, yeah.

Some women are the bread makers and enjoy having the roles reversed.

I don't want to be the "woman of the house" so to speak. I'd rather be the bread winner because I'm pretty useless around the house. I mean, look at this place. [He looked around at the room they were sitting in. Books, magazines, cigarette butts were in a pile on the floor. Cans, crisp packets, take-out boxes piled up behind the T.V.]

I'd like a girl who is intelligent but can keep a guy like me.

[Raiden took a moment to look around. Wow. It really was messy in here.]

... That may just come from being lazy.

I'm not lazy, I just have so much to do helping Snake out with his missions. [Yeah right, Otacon. You'd rather stare at a computer screen watching hentai when you're not working.]

Which is rarely ever. Well, Sunny helps tidy the place when Snake's out and about. I do help, when I'm not compiling my data. [Suuuuure.]

Compiling data takes a long time and Sunny's been working on computer worms and things. [He ate some pizza and sighed.]

Ok, so tidying up isn't a strong suit of mine either. [Otacon's hand felt the remote next to him, as he turned on the episode of Turtles.]

Whip us into shape? [Otacon nodded and tried not to let his mind wander elsewhere.]

Yeah. Someone to teach you and Snake some discipline around this place. Sunny needs more structure in her life.

Yeah, I guess. [He rubbed the back of his head then took a deep draught of soda.] I want Sunny to have the right upbringing an' all.

Understandable. Most parents want that for their children...

[He took another bite of his pizza]

Yeah. We all want what's best for our kids and out family. [Hal's experience with family have been less than great. The Nomad was his family now.]

I think you'd make a great father, Raiden.

[Raiden rubbed the back of his neck and smiled nervously]

Hey, I'm sure you will. [Otacon placed a hand on Raiden's shoulder and smiled. He drank some more soda then belched. Again.] Uh...sorry.

[The blonde laughed]

It's cool. And thanks for the compliment.

[He finished his slice of pizza and averted his attention to the TV. He'd completely forgotten about the movie playing]

It's no problem. [Otacon took another bite of pizza and looked back at the TV. He laughed when he saw Michelangelo throw a pizza in the air as a Frisbee.]

I love Michelangelo, he's so awesome.

[Raiden wrinkled his nose and snickered]

Their pizza combinations horrify me...

Well, yeah they are but I still love them. [Because he's a geek.] I used to have a Turtles t-shirt when I was a kid.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up past history or childhood for you, as I know it must have been awful. [Otacon gave Raiden a comforting smile and patted his back. It was a bit more manly than a hug.]

No need to apologize. Things happened the way they did, right? I'm glad I've gotten to at least enjoy them period.
