[The PokeGear feed snaps on, as a rather ruffled looking Otacon slides into view over the screen. Around his neck is a rather purple and large looking snake. The engineer adjusts his glasses and waves rather awkwardly to anyone who might be watching.]
Hey everyone. Uh,....[He swallows then goes to remove Liquid from around his neck but the snake wants to stay firmly put. He likes being Otacon's new choker.]
...I've just caught my first Ekans out here in Route 32. More out of luck than anything else, as he just appeared out of no where. The reason I ended up here is that I want to find my Pokémon some more berries to eat and stretch my legs. I decided not to enter Bellsprout Tower yet, as it seemed a little creepy to me. Also, I've just been into a Pokémon Centre nearby on the route and this fisherman guy gave me this....
[He held up the Old Rod to the viewer.]
....a fishing rod. He gave me it for free but I have no idea how to fish. At all. Perhaps someone could help me? Snake, uh.....you're good at fishing, right? He said people can catch different kinds of Pokémon in the sea and rivers that you can't usually catch. So, I'm pretty excited about that. [Otacon gave a sudden yelp, as Liquid nearly strangles his trainer.]
!! Liquid! Would you please loosen your grip slightly? [Otacon pulls a berry out of his pocket and passes it to the snake. Liquid eats it hungrily then reluctantly slithers to wrap around Otacon's left thigh instead.]
Oh, and the choice of naming for my Ekans....Snake, you'll know why I called him this. I thought it rather fitting myself.
